Evolving the energy equation
1987 - BETA Group formation
Founder Rudi Jadnanansing envisioned a cleaner, more reliable way to meeting growing energy needs. In April 1987, BETA Group was formed with ambitious plans to make electrical power accessible and affordable for local communities across Caricom.
2014 - First Solar Project
In 2014, we successfully engaged and managed our first Solar project. The works completed for multinational mining conglomerate IAMGOLD, passed the highest standards for civil and electrical work involving the 5MW project plant Suriname.
2021 - Business expansion
2021 saw the business continue to ramp up our plans for expansion. We opened our first office outside of Suriname in neighbouring Guyana, collaborated with a Dutch entity on CaribPower and started the Pryme partnership.
2023 - Strategic partnerships
In 2023, we announced several exciting collaborations with key partners. The strategic partnerships continue our vision for multidisciplinary integrated energy with JV CaribPower, Aruba Freezone N.V. i.o. and CaribPower Bonaire B.V.i.o.
